Inupiat style ulu with Alaskan birch handle and stand. The ulu has 
been used for centuries by arctic native people. It was traditionally 
made of slate and bone with a sharp edge for cutting.

During the long period of the Bering Land Bridge, Alaska was 
effectively a part of Eurasia. So here is 
typical Russian painted woodware: a small bowl, ca. 3.5 X 2.5 inches 
and two spoons (ca 7 inches long).
In keeping with the polar bear theme here are photos of 4 notecards 
(envelopes included). They are about 7 X 5 inches or slightly smaller.
